Unrest In The House Of Light - Drum cam, live at PAX East 2013.
Armed with a chest-strapped GoPro Hero1 & Vivitar 785HD, I filmed the majority of our PAX East set this year from 2 angles. (Tried for 3 but my phone fell after the first kick) The GoPro footage is shaky, distorted and lopsided, as it should be. I’ll be adding more tracks throughout the week.

Question
earulas-domengar asked: Will the band continue after Act III? (Sorry if this is a question for another platform.)
If you haven’t noticed by now, we usually have a few tricks up our sleeve..
Question
Anonymous asked: A new Protofan here! So this is kind of foolish and ridiculously general, but I was wondering what the band thinks of fan-created things/gifts/etc? Like, if I was to create, say, an expanded novelization of Act II and come charging into a concert with a copy of it for the band as thanks for getting me out of my long creative slump, would I be more apt to be laughed out of the building, receive the highest of fives, or hear a "Cool Story Bro"?
We’re always flattered by the home made gifts; particularly drawings, crafty creations, clothing items, etc. The literature, though, is one of those things we tend to take with a grain of salt. Sometimes it’s impressive, sometimes it’s creepy as hell. We’re grateful in every aspect that you find us inspirational enough to expand your creativity and we’ll definitely take a look at it.. but I cannot guarantee that Murphy won’t read each chapter to us in his best ‘Wizard People, Dear Reader’ impression each night before we fall asleep.

My mom pretty much thinks she failed me as a child because I had a W on my face for the Protomen concert.

I don’t always try to one-up Turbo Lover on his own song.. But when I do, I still don’t.

Back in 2009, I joined this band called The Protomen. At the time, they sold small patches with the Makeup and Vanity Set album logo, which I used as the basis for a blown up, freehand stencil. Armed with silver spray paint and a Sharpie, I used this stencil (along with the little bot fella from one of our posters) to create my first bass drum head for the band. In typical Proto-fashion, it was destroyed within a year and retired to the confines of The Skyhammer. It has since resurfaced, and rather than letting it acquire further dust and damage, we figured we’d auction it off for charity, along with a pair of used drumsticks. Keep in mind that the head is tattered & torn, so you probably shouldn’t use it on a drum kit.. unless you care not for resonance and tone. (Other assorted Proto gear is also being auctioned within the link below.)
tl;dr: Buy my busted, old shit. For the kids.
Question
earulas-domengar asked: Yo Reanimator! Huge fan of yours, and I was wondering, what kind of music do you typically listen to? (You might have already answered this, but I forgot to check.)
I’m all over the board, sans most country and electronic.
Groups on repeat at the moment include Between The Buried and Me, Periphery, Outkast, Protest The Hero and Pantera.
